Born on August the 1st, this gorgeous Red Highland x Bull calf is ready for his new home. He is a Highland x Shorthorn/Lowline cross and heterozygous polled.  His coat color is a stunning mix of deep reds and mahogany tones, he has some white roaning on his belly from his sires side of the genetic pool and the intense hair of the highland coming from his dams side. Baby Ember was born on October the 16th, sired by RCM Rip and RCM Millie. Earlier this year, Hamish the bull left us to begin his new adventures with the sweetest lady named Mayvonne. Mayvonne was the lady who came to our ranch everyday during her calves weaning and handling period to learn, spend time with them and make the transition to her ranch easier on her new babies. Very sadly Mayvonne was recently diagnosed cancer and had to make the difficult decision to rehome her babies. We have rehomed her sweet girl Izzy and now we are looking to rehome her bull Hamish for her.  💕 - A Boy and a Girl - 💕   What I shock to the system it was!  I watched baby girl be born and told Mumma Lilly “ good job girl, I’m going to let you clean her up now and I’ll be back to check after I get chores done”. My husband and I are huge supporters of our local 4H programs and the kids it involves and supports.  4H teaches these kids skills and life lessons that cannot be taught in the classroom. It teaches them responsibility, dedication, hard work and perseverance amongst many other qualities. In 2022 we sponsored one of our local kids with the purchase of her Char x Heifer and the costs involved to get the heifer to fair. Our goal was to give the experience and opportunity of getting an animal ready for fair and to show it, to a child that wasn’t in a position to do so otherwise. Our one and only stipulation was that all money made on sale day go towards furthering yourself in life through education in some direction. Well the heifer won Grand Champion in her weight division bringing home the blue! Than came sale day. Well for those who know me, you all know I bought the heifer back 😂 I couldn’t bare to see her be shipped off to slaughter.  So we loaded Sass back up and bought her home after a long grueling week at fair.  Sass was turned out to pasture and given the freedom to be a cow for the first time in a long time.  This past weekend she thanked us with a Silver Highland x Char Bull Calf sired by RCM Rip our Miniature Dun Highland Bull - suspected chondro and polled pending testing. This bull calf is the lightest yet most brightest silver calf I’ve seen to date. He has the big Char ears, structurally built like a show calf and is a beautiful mix of both breeds.  His non chondro genetics are way too big for any true miniature cattle program but I do think he has place in a program outside of the miniature cattle industry.

Another super fancy Dun Tipped Highpark Bull Calf hit the ground on March 27th and he is a show stopper!!! His coloring and markings are absolutely stunning being so heavily speckled and blended together so perfectly.  He is  chondro positive and heterozygous polled. Gracie was a gem getting this bull calf up going and letting me help get him warm and dried off.  Sire to this bull calf is RCM Captain Silver.

Our sweet longtime resident Becky gave birth on May 10th to a very petite heifer calf. Becky is a registered White Dexter Cow and also one of our original females going back to 2015. This beautiful little heifer calf is sired by RCM Captain Silver. She has black tips, non chondro, 24 inches at birth and will be horned.  Becky is a naturally small framed female at 42 inches, setting this heifer up to be naturally small and a great dual purpose animal.
