My name is Laura, better known as Laura Belle by most. I left my native country of Australia when I was 18 years of age landing myself in Kansas City MO. I spent 7 years in MO training western pleasure horses and starting colts. On a whim in 2007 I decided to up and move to Colorado enrolling in one of the only 5 AVMA accredited veterinary technician programs in the country. I graduated in 2010 with honors and went on to work as a certified veterinary technician both large and small animal for the next 4 years.
I met my husband Sean in 2014 and it is he who introduced me to the world of cattle. My husband had spent his life ranching and raising commercial cattle, operating Martin Ranch, a 300 cow / calf head operation. I quickly became involved and addicted to cows, I couldn’t get enough of them.
In 2015 my husband surprised me on my birthday with 5 little cows aka Sugar Baby, Peep, Becky, Licorice and Pixie who were all due to calve the following Spring. In the Spring of 2016, 5 little babies hit the ground and it was than and there I knew what I was going to spend my days doing
- Raising and Breeding Miniature Cattle -
The last 6 years have been spent buying the best cattle I could find to build my foundation herd. I’ve retained my best heifers and bulls to bring into my program, a legacy to build on for years to come. We now stand at 180 females and 15 bulls.
We are located in beautiful Collbran Colorado surrounded by the Grand Mesa Flat Tops, 5 hours West of Denver.
