Being born on Friday the 13th of March is always a risk, especially when your mumma aka RCM Laddie decides to give birth right next to the ditch and you tumble down into it in an effort to find your legs! As I sat and watched all this happening, one tumble at a time till she finally landed face up in the ditch, I was able to retrieve Diva from the freezing mountain ditch water and get her to dry land.  Diva is a stunning Black Tipped Highpark Heifer - non chondro sired by RCM Mighty Warrior. She is ALL her daddy in every aspect and is back available at no fault of her own. Diva is a bottle calf and is thriving on 3 bottles a day, an egg added am and pm.

Oh baby Possum, you are so loved and adored on the ranch even though your own mumma wouldn’t take you. Little Possum was born on March the 18th and her dam refused to take her regardless of our efforts to join them up.  The decision was made to bottle feed Possum over 24 hours with colostrum before placing her on our nurse cow Tillie Wilson.  Tillie Wilson has taken to baby Possum with love and affection and Possum is thrilled to have herself a mumma who loves her. Possum has the best little personality and is all up in our business with her playful and loving personality.  Sired by RCM Mighty Warrior, Possum is a high highland percentage Highpark, Dun Tipped, Polled and Chondro heifer calf.  She will steal your heart, just like she has all of ours.

RCM Moon snuck her baby out on March the 17th, giving birth out on the pasture, no eyes watching.  This little heifer is the guaranteed Highpark Calf Maker being homozygous whitepark coloration.  No matter what she is bred too, she will always produce a Highpark Marked Calf!  Non chondro and horned, this little heifer is a dream heifer for those breeding programs with goals of producing Highpark calves with a guarantee.  At a 75% Highland percentage and sired by RCM Mighty Warrior, they don’t come much prettier and feminine than this little Homozygous Black Tipped Highpark Heifer Calf.

Born on March the 16th as a shooting star was seen in the sky - RCM Gema gave birth to baby Stella - Latin for falling star. Gema is a first time highland heifer who calved unassisted, with ease and strong maternal instinct.  Baby Stella was licked dry and clean within record timing and up within 20 minutes looking for her first meal!  Stella is a loaded with hair at a 87.5% highland percentage highpark, black tipped, chondro positive and as pretty as they come. She sports RCM Mighty Warrior’s signature head, lightning bolts and soft wavy hair.  Stella does carry the crop ear gene, minor deviation to the tip of her ears - simply cosmetic.

We are absolutely smitten with little baby Georgie here on the ranch during calving season. He has stolen our hearts and attention with how incredibly tiny and adorable he is!  Mumma Gillie acted like she gave birth to a 100lb calf when in reality a mere 32lbs - less than my corgi 😆. Georgie might be tiny but he sure thinks he is mighty and is pretty content strutting himself about showing off his chrome.  We love these little Lowline crosses to RCM Mighty Warrior.  The Lowline aspect throws down the tiny structure and as always, RCM Mighty Warrior lays down the hair and sensational markings.

Our sweet ole Red gave us a stunning little polled and chondro positive heifer on March the 16th right as our day was about to begin on the ranch.  This bold little red tipped Highpark heifer is a gentle soul just like her mumma and takes her time doing just about everything.   She has some stunning and heavy speckling throughout her body and is laced in hair.  Super nice little heifer calf who will be joining Cotton and baby Roulette at weaning.

Sunday March the 15th, right after lunch time, RCM Poppy gave birth to a sweet little Silver Highland Heifer, non chondro and sired by RCM Silver Jackpot.  Poppy is partially blind and she did an incredible job getting her baby girl up and going unassisted .  Poppy has been with us since she was a heifer calf herself and this is our 5th baby together, all being silver and heifers.  Baby girl is her mumma all over and will be joining one of our prior bull calves sold at weaning.

Tiny baby Ninja was born on April 7th to one of our longest and oldest residents - RCM Sweet Pea, age 15.  Sweet Pea popped little Ninja out at 33.6lbs and 20 inches and she did need some help getting him going.  Sweet Pea was tired and happy for the help given.  Ninja is thriving and loving life on the outside. He is sired by RCM Enchanted Forrest - RCM Mighty Warriors half brother and the signature head these brothers put on their calves is undeniable.

RCM Jackpot laid down his genetics on yet another incredibly small framed non chondro silver highland heifer born on March the 19th. RCM Jolene gave birth in the early hours of the morning, kicking our day off at 3am.  No complaints on our end starting the day off with a beautiful little silver highland heifer and she is polled to boot! Mumma Jolene has a low percentage of lowline in her, which is where the polled gene comes from and smaller stature of her calves.  Baby girl is cute as a button, super petite and feminine.

Baby Toffee - Perfectly marked Yellow HighBelt Heifer Calf, Chondro Positive, Horned and one perfect little package of perfection. Toffee’s mumma Petuina is a miniature panda cow whom we have raised from a baby. Petunia’s first three babies were born in the barn and her first three babies she rejected.  In 2025 Petunia gave birth on pasture to a tiny little dun belted bull calf and just loved him. So we have learned to gamble with Petuina calving out on the pasture on her own terms. The gamble paid off again this year with the birth of Toffee, out on pasture and unassisted - Petunia loves her baby girl!   The psychology to raising cattle some days is baffling, it’s a constant learning curve and daily education.  Toffee is sired by RCM Silver Jackpot our 3rd generation Silver Highland Bull.

Bold, Flashy, Feminine - This little Black Tipped Highpark Heifer brings it all to the game ready to play. Born on March the 19th, RCM Pumpkin after a dramatic pre labor stomp, finally laid down and committed to giving birth to her heifer calf - Magpie.  Magpie will catch your attention in the calf pen with her striking features and double masked black around her eyes laid down by her sire RCM Mighty Warrior. She brings the polled gene to the game - heterozygous polled giving her the ability to produce both horned and polled cattle down the road. Magpie will make a wonderful foundation female for a Highpark Breeding Program.

RCM Rusty is proving himself this year with the arrival of his first calf crop hitting the ground, bringing us babies carrying the roan gene. RCM Bluey was born on March the 13th and as her name suggests, she is a Blue Roan, Polled and Chondro Positive Heifer Calf. Dam RCM Magic is genuinely one of the kindest, most docile females and is abs smitten with baby Bluey, along with the rest of us on the ranch.

We just love the white faced babies coming from a back ground of commercial cattle and baby Tippi is just perfection and the most adorable little chondro positive heifer.  Sired by RCM Silver Jackpot and RCM Rachel each parent laid down some strong genetics on little Tippi - Jackpot his dilute gene producing the yellow and the chondro gene, Rachel her perfectly stamped little panda eye rings and small stature being a 42 inch female. Named Tippi for her little white tail tip, this little heifer is a gem. She will be a great additional to any Panlander Breeding Program and or Highbelt Breeding Program.

 Being fresh out of the oven is hard work but when you are this cute, you make it look easy. Baby Hattie is a stunning little Highpark Heifer Calf and her mumma Betty Sue was a little too aggressive in getting her up and going immediately after birth and when I say immediately, I mean immediately. Betty Sue wanted her up and moving the moment she hit the ground, horning her, flipping her around and vocalizing like a crazy lady. We stepped in for a short period of time, gently reminding Betty Sue to pump her brakes and let Hattie figure out her bearings and life on the outside.  Betty Sue settled down within about 30 or so minutes and all was well.  Hattie is sired by RCM Mighty Warrior, 87.5% Highland percentage Highpark, horned and chondro positive. Welcome to the ranch sweet Hattie, heifer calf number 22 to arrive.

RCM Gracie and RCM Warrior Black Tipped Non Chondro and Polled Smaller Framed Highpark heifer calf - feminine, bold and loaded with speckling throughout her hair coat. Gracie calved unassisted on March 5th, presenting us with our first non chondro heifer calf of the season.  Gracie has been in our program from day one and is one of my most predictable cows pre calving - very very vocal and dramatic. Gracie will stomp around the calving pen for hours in pre labor before settling down to literally just pop her calf out with ease.  Gracie and Warrior did a great job stamping baby Gillie - she is the perfect mix of both parents.

Our 2026 Calving Season Officially began over the weekend with little heifers racing to hit the ground. RCM Chloe got the ball rolling with a suspected Homozygous Chondro Positive Highpark Heifer Calf aka Cotton. Chloe was born and raised on our ranch in 2018 and carry’s so many memories for me on my personal journey building RCM Miniature Cattle Company. Each and every one of my cows has a story to tell and Chloe is one of the first chapters in my book.  Cotton is a miniature version of her mumma and proudly sired by RCM Mighty Warrior - our Highpark leader.  Welcome to the ranch baby girl and here’s to many more to come this 2026 calving season.

If you are looking to produce Roan Calves this is the heifer for you!  Rita is a 50% Highland x 50% Shorthorn Red Roan, non chondro, roan gene carrie, horned and smaller framed.  Rita’s roaning is heavy on her undercarriage and speckled lightly throughout her body.  Her dam RCM Autumn is a beautiful small framed, deep bodied highland female with hair for days.  RCM Rusty did a great job laying the roan gene down on baby Rita, creating a replica of himself.

They don’t get much smaller than this little Chondro Positive Polled Highpark Heifer Calf sired by RCM Mighty Warrior and RCM Bambi - both home raised parents right here on the ranch.  Baby Quinnie was born on March 8th with little to no effort from mumma Bambi with a short labor of less then 30 minutes.  Bambi is a daughter to RCM Cloudy and RCM King George - our original Whitepark Bull. Quinnie is as cute as a button, as white as they come and just a tiny little nugget standing at just 21 inches at birth. She is a compact yet very feminine looking heifer calf with a gentle eye and bold black tipped points.  Sure to make a wonderful additional to any ranch as pasture candy, a new best friend and or breeding female.

RCM Lolli never disappoints us and this year she blew it out of the park with a phenomenal Silver Shortie Highland Heifer Calf that is FLAWLESS! RCM Bindi is the result of 5 generations of selective breeding to create a 93.75% Highland percentage roan, maintaining both hair genetics and keeping the roan gene!   It’s crazy to think how long this took us to achieve and how much anticipation went into waiting on RCM Maple to calve.  I still remember the day Maple was born and thinking to myself “ her baby one day is going to be fantastic” and here we are 3 years later with baby Bindi on the ground.  RCM Silver Sterling is the proud sire to Bindi keeping all genetics in house!

Our first RCM Black Chewbucca heifer of the season and this little red head aka Roulette does not disappoint. Roulette is a tiny little heifer calf standing at 20 inches, 35lbs at birth with a gorgous squeezable little face. Roulette is deep red in color with a dense and thick hair coat. Dam RCM Stormy is one of our chondro females and she gave birth with ease and unassisted.  This was a great pairing of Chewbucca and Stormy and I’m excited to see little Miss Roulette grow, develop and change over the next few months.

Born in the wee hours of March the 14th, RCM Karen gave birth to a perfect little Chondro Dun Tipped Highpark Heifer, 87.5% highland % and horned unassisted. Baby Cocoa is a thick and stout little heifer calf and her speckled markings run thick her dense coat which is beautifully marked.  Cocoa is going to make a wonderful addition to any chondro female breeding program with her genetics and high highland %.
